AWARD – “The Curwood Festival’s Float has not participated in the National Cherry Festival’s Cherry Royale Parade in Traverse City since 2001. But this year, because of a very generous donation, that all changed and we were able to travel to Traverse City and be a part of this very popular event and we won the Trustees’ Trophy for the Best Float,” said Parade Float Chairman Lee Mills of Owosso, who coordinates float operations. “This is huge honor to be selected as the best out of 132 entries to the parade.”

Pausing after Saturday’s parade in Traverse City were (from left): Curwood Queen’s Court members Kaitlin Dwyer and Jillian Taylor, Parade Float Chairman Mills holding the award and Queen Lisa Dexter.
